Pioneers Lose to Sioux 2 to 4

The Pioneers record stands at 3-2-2 after losing to the Sioux today 2-4.

Exciting Game Ends in Tie With Badgers

An exciting game today against the Badgers ended in a tie thanks to two goals by Alex and the goal scored by Jake with 24 seconds left in the third period.

Pioneers Tie Gophers 2-2

The Pioneers records stands at 3-1-1 after an exciting game with the Gophers today which ended in a 2-2 tie.

Alex provided the goals today, scoring once in the first period and again in the second.

The Gophers matched the Pioneers goal-for goal, answering both Pioneer goals with their own.

At the end of the second period, it was tied at 2, which is how the game ended after a scoreless third period.

Pioneers Improve To 3-1 By Shutting Out Eastview

Good hustle by the whole team led the Pioneers to a 12-0 win over the visiting Eastview Blue team.

Highlights include hat tricks for Alex and Dylan, first goals of the year for Nicholas and Ryan, and John's first shutout.

The physical game was tight during the first two periods with the Pioneers scoring twice in both of them to take a 4-0 lead. But the Pioneers really opened it up in the last period, scoring eight times for a final score of 12-0.

Game #3 - Pioneers Beat Wolverines 5 to 4!

A tough win against the unbeaten Wolverines! Falling behind 0-1 early, the Pioneers came back to take a 2-1 lead by the end of the first period.

Scoring first in the second period, the Pioneers took a 3-1 lead, but gave up 2 goals late in the period to tie the game at 3.

The Pioneers scored again in the third period and also gave up a goal to end the game with a 5-4 win.

Rachel, Dylan and Alex passed the puck well on their shift today:

The first goal was a great play the entire length of the ice. Rachel passed to David, David forwarded it on to Dylan, who skated and passed to Alex, with Rachel ready for the rebound:

Tough Loss in Game #2

After falling behind 0-2, the Pioneers fought back to take a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately we couldn't hold that lead and ended up losing 3-4.

Congratulations Pioneers on a great first game of the season! We had five goals by five different players. Our defense was good too, allowing only two goals against a quick Badgers team.
